How to Get Multimedia to Work on the Wii

Nintendo's Wii console provides entertainment beyond simply gaming. Wii users can use the Wii Fit add-on to develop a workout routine, or use the console's browser to surf the Web. The Wii's Photo Channels provides a way for users to play back multimedia files on the console. But because of the Wii's limited list of supported multimedia formats, you may run into some compatibility issues when attempting to play your media through the console. But with the help of some free software, you can convert just about any media file on your computer into a Wii-compatible format.
