How to Collect Stone & Wood Material for Your House in Harvest Moon Animal Parade?

"Harvest Moon: Animal Parade" is a farming simulation game for the Nintendo Wii. The main elements of the game involve growing crops, caring for animals and expanding your farm. Players also have the option of getting married; however, one of the prerequisites for marriage is having a second story added to your house. To add a second story to your existing home, you first need to accumulate 100 units of wood lumber and 100 units of material stone.

Instructions

Collecting Wood

  Find a tree either in the Fugue Forest or on your farm land.

  Press the "C" button to open your rucksack and equip an axe. Approach a tree or stump and press the "A" button to begin chopping away at it. Don't worry if you run out of stamina, you can always come back the next day and continue right where you left off.

  Press the "A" button to pick up the sticks and add them to your inventory as wood lumber. If you keep chopping at a tree or stump, eventually it will turn into a pile of sticks.
Collecting Material Stone

  Find stones in the Garmon mines and Fugue Forest.

  Press the "C" button to open your rucksack and equip a hammer. Approach a rock and press the "A" button to smash it. You can find a variety of minerals within the rocks so just keep smashing them until you come across some material stone.

  Stand next to the material stone and press the "A" button to pick it up and add it to your inventory.
