How to Mine Ore in Monster Hunter Tri

"Monster Hunter Tri" is a role-playing game for the Nintendo Wii. Players can perform a wide variety of activities, including fighting enemies, going on quests and even mining ore. Mining gives players access to items hidden in the rocks. They can give ore to the blacksmith to create stronger, more powerful items and weapons to use. Mining for ore is a simple process that requires having the right tools and knowing where to mine.

  Buy a few iron pick axes at a shop and open your equipment menu. Click and drag the pick axe to your hands to activate it. Press the attack button to use the pick axe.

  Travel to the mountains, caves or other areas with a lot of rocks to look for the ore. Ore is located only where there are rocks.

  Try to find rounded clumps of rock with colored veins running through the sides. Search different areas; the location of the ore is randomized in each new game.

  Look past the town gate in area 1, to the right past the trees along the edge of the wall, to find a common source of ore.

  Use the pick axe on the ore to dig it up. Collect the fallen ore pieces by moving over the top of them, and collect any items that fall out in the same way.

  Change pick axes if yours breaks, and continue digging ore until all your axes are broken. Take the ore to the blacksmith and give it to him to let him make items with it.
