"New Super Mario Bros. Wii" for the Nintendo Wii is the 2009 entry in the long-running "Mario Bros." video game franchise. Using the Wii remote control, players move Mario through various themed levels in the Mushroom Kingdom. One ability that Mario has is "ground pound." This allows Mario to stomp the air into enemies, bricks, question-mark blocks and other parts of the level. This gives Mario access to secret locations and items while also giving him the ability to deal extra damage to bad guys.

Stand over the part of the stage you wish to stomp.

Press the "2" button to launch Mario into the air.

Press down on the Wii Remote's d-pad to make Mario stomp into the ground.
