How to Get Canon Access on the New Super Mario Bros.

In the game "New Super Mario Bros. Wii," players can use cannon warps much like the classic pipe warps from the original NES game. There are two warps in the game and they blast players to World 5 and World 8, allowing them to skip the majority of the game. Access to the pipe is easily done and once the level is completed, the path to the pipe opens and Mario is blasted across the game.

Instructions

World 5 Warp
- 1
  Defeat levels 1-1 and 1-2 to open up access to 1-3. If you already have those levels beat, just replay level 1-3.

  Bust open the question mark box in the beginning of Level 1-3. Jump on the green Yoshi and ride him through the level. Keep Yoshi or you cannot access the warp.

  Look for a large overhang that Mario can go under. Instead, jump up so a secret cave opens up. Collect all of the coins in the secret cave.

  Go to the edge of the entrance cave. Press "2," jump up and hold it down to make Yoshi fly up. Run across the top of the level until you go through an unseen pipe.

  Race to the end of the level and jump on the red flag. Once the level clears, the path to the warp cannon will appear.

  Run to the warp cannon and press "2." Take Mario to the top of cannon, press down and he will get shot to World 5.
World 8 Warp

  Go through World 5 until you reach the ghost house. Enter the ghost house level.

  Walk up to the square light box and shake the controller to pick it up.

  Run through the level and up the stairs. Drop down until you see a door on the right and a wall on the left. Run through the wall and enter the door.

  Jump on the switch and a large platform will light up. Ride it to the right and then jump across the other platforms until you reach a door. Go through the door until you get outside.

  Jump through the open spot on the ring of ghosts. Wait for it to spin back around and then jump through to reach the flag. The path to World 8 will open. Go down the path, get in the cannon and you will launch to World 8.
