Launch HackMii

  Download HackMii 0.8 from the Media Fire website.

  Click "Start," then select "Computer" from the right panel. Right-click your SD card drive, then click "Format" to erase the contents of the card.

  Double-click the HackMii archive you downloaded, then click "Extract" and choose the drive letter of your SD card.

  Remove your SD card from your computer and insert it into your Wii's SD card slot. Turn your Wii's power on, select "Channel" from the menu and choose "SD Card" for your source.

  Highlight "boot.dol" from the list of files, then click "Wad Manager" and press "A" on your wiimote to launch the program.

  Press "1" to continue, then press "A" to select the option to install all the WADS. Press any other button on your wiimote to continue the installation.

  Press "2," which launches the app manager. Press "A" to launch "hackmii_installer_v0.8."

Installing BootMii and HomeBrew Channel

  Read the disclaimer that appears on your screen informing you that you should never pay for any software needed to hack your Wii. It is all released free for public use.

  Press "1" to acknowledge that you read the warning and accept it.

  Choose "Install" to install the HomeBrew channel and BootMii. The preferred location to install BootMii is to Boot2 instead of as an IOS. If you have a newer Wii, you may only have the option to install as an IOS. Boot2 provides better protection against bricking if something goes wrong during the process.

  Click "Prepare" to get your SD card ready for making a backup of your NAND.

Backing Up your NAND

  Restart your Wii by pressing the power button. Launch HomeBrew from the main Wii menu. Then press the "Home" button on your wiimote. Launch "BootMii."

  Press the "power" button three times on your Wii, then press "reset" twice to move to the option to make a NAND backup. The wiimote does not work while using Bootmii. A NAND backup backs up all the files currently on your Wii in case you need to restore it if an error occurs.

  Remove the SD card when the NAND backup finishes. Copy the following NAND files on your SD card to a folder on your computer:

  sd:\bootmii

  sd:\nand.bin

  sd:\key.bin

  Save this folder for restoration purposes.

Hacking the Wii

  Right-click on your SD card and click "Format" to erase the contents of the card.

  Download the following archives from the resources and extract the contents to your SD card:

  CIOS Pack v3

  IOS Update

  Shopping Channel

  NTSC-U ModPack

  Place the SD card back into your Wii then select "HomeBrew" to launch the channel. Press "Home" on your wiimote, then select "BootMii" again. Choose "Wadmanager" by pressing "A."

  Select all WADS by pressing "1", then press "A" to confirm your selection. Press "1" to choose the option to install all WADS. Press any button on your wiimote when the installation completes.

  Choose the folder "System Menu 4.1," then select "A" and press "1" to install the three WADS. Choose any button to continue once the WADS install, then press "B" to revert to the previous menu. Choose IOS Update. Press "1" to install all 25 WADs, then press any button on the wiimote to continue.

Installing Priiloader

  Install Priiloader as a preventive measure to protect your Wii from bricking. Launch "HomeBrew," then select "Priiloader" from the menu. Press either "A" or "+" to install it.

  Press and hold "Reset" on your Wii to launch Priiloader. Select "System Menu Hacks."

  Choose the hacks you want to install, but definitely choose "Block Online Updates" and "Block Disk Updates" since these have potential to brick your Wii when enabled. Press "A" to save the settings and then "B" to go back to the previous menu.

  Select "Load/Install," then choose "USBLoaderCFG.dol."

  Insert your SD card in your computer and format it one final time. Extract "AppPack" files to your card. Go back to the HomeBrew channel on your Wii to install any apps you want. For maximum functionality install all applications. You can find additional applications on the Web.
