Ants and Beetles
The male ant is at the bottom of a tree trunk in the northwest corner of the Kakariko Village Graveyard. The female ant is under a piece of wood inside an abandoned house before the bomb shop in the western section of Kakariko Village.
Examine a tree stump in the southern section of Hyrule Field to find the male beetle; the tree stands between two small hills. The female beetle is on a tree in the west area of the Hyrule Field; you will need to use the Gale Boomerang to retrieve this bug from its home on a tree.
Butterflies and Dragonflies
The male butterfly is in a patch of pink flowers south of the east entrance of Castle Town. The female butterfly is in a patch of flowers on a ledge northeast of Castle Town; you will need to climb the ledge with the Clawshot.
Climb the hill in the area with waterfalls in the southwest section of Zora's Domain to find the male dragonfly. The female dragonfly hovers over a the Upper Zora's river in front of the boat rental shop.
Dayflies and Grasshoppers
At night, visit the gate in the southern section of the Gerudo Desert to find the male dayfly, who lies in the center of the area. The female dayfly is also located in the southern section of the Gerudo Desert; however, it appears in one of the many trenches.
You will find the male grasshopper on the ground near the entrance to Kakariko Village in Hyrule Field. The female grasshopper hops around the northeast corner of the Eldin Province in Hyrule Field.
Pillbugs and Ladybugs
The male pill bug is southeast of the bridge over Kakariko Gorge. The female pill bug is in a patch of flowers on the north end of the bridge.
The male ladybug is on a vine-covered pillar south of Castle Town. The female ladybug is in the same area, but in a trio of trees east of the courtyard's pool.
Mantises and Phasmids
Toss the Gale Boomerang to retrieve the male mantis from an arch located north of the Great Hylia Bridge. The female mantis is on a wall near several giant trees on the south end of the same bridge; you will also need the Gale Boomerang.
The male phasmid is on an arch at the south section of the Bridge of Eldin. The female phasmid is on a cliff ledge north of the same bridge; you will need the Clawshot to reach the platform.
Snails and Stag Beetles
The male snail is on a wall in the entrance of the southwest alcove of the Sacred Grove. The female snail is on the west side of the staircase in the Temple of Time when you enter from the Sacred Grove.
To find the male stag beetle, examine the tree east of the river in the northern section of Hyrule Field. The female stag beetle is located in a rocky path northwest of the river in northern Hyrule Field above a bombable entrance.
