Directions for Rock Band: Special Edition on the Wii

"Rock Band: Special Edition" was released for the Nintendo Wii console in 2008. The game lets players use musical instrument controllers to play along with a variety of songs. Players sing in the mic controller, play guitar or bass and use a drum set controller. Each aspect of the game requires certain controls and directions in order to perform a song successfully. The game primarily relies on timing for players.

Instructions

  Use the directional pad on the Wii controller to navigate menus. Press the "A" button to confirm options and open additional menus.

  Press the strum bar up or down on the guitar to cycle through menu options. Use the strum bar while pressing the appropriate color button to play a note during gameplay.

  Press the "Start" button to pause the game. Use the colored buttons with the strum bar to play along with the music.

  Press the "Green" button to confirm selections. Press the "Red" button to cancel.

  Use the Whammy Bar to alter the sound of the notes. Tilt the guitar controller up to use Overdrive.

  Hit the colored drums with the corresponding beats on the screen to use the drums controller. Hit the red pad to cancel a menu selection.

  Hit the green pad to confirm. Use the kick pedal along with the bass pedal track on the screen.

  Sing along with each song using the mic controller. Press the "1" button to change mic sensitivity.
