Cheats & Hints for Obscure: The Aftermath on the Wii

Character Abilities

• Each of the playable characters in "Obscure: The Aftermath" has his own specialty. Kenny and Sven can move heavy objects; Mei can hack computers; Shannon absorbs black mist; Stan picks locks; Corey is an acrobat; and Amy is adept at solving puzzles. You'll switch characters depending on the game situation, so keep their abilities in mind.

Campus Door Codes

• As you explore the college campus, you'll encounter doors that require passwords to open. To gain entry to the Delta-Theta-Gamma fraternity party, have Mei use the code "MOZART" on the door. To open the door to get Jun on the ground floor of the college, use the code "FREUD." For the door at the top of the stairs in the Delta-Beta frat house, use "PICASSO."

Curative Items

• Use the serum, first aid kit and energy drink items to restore your health. Whenever you encounter a soda machine during the game, you can break it open to obtain an energy drink.

Conserving Ammunition

• During a single-player game, the computer-controlled character will choose a weapon based on what you've put in her inventory. Save your ammunition by not giving this character a gun. As you explore, break open every crate you encounter. Some of the crates contain ammunition.

Attacking the Flying Monsters

• An effective strategy for dealing with the flying monsters is to have one character use the stun gun and the other use a melee weapon, like a baseball bat or golf club. Use caution when swinging these melee weapons, as they can damage the other character.

Dynamite

• The hospital is your first opportunity to acquire dynamite. You can assemble this projectile weapon by obtaining the ingredients list, then locating and mixing the correct items. Get the list by using Mei to hack the computer in the hospital dispensary. The password "EINSTEIN" will print the list. Use the combination 1634 on the electronic lock to get the abscorbic acid. Find the glycerine and ice from the morgue, then head to the lab and collect the bleach and caustic soda. To create dynamite, use the mixer to combine the ingredients in this order: bleach, abscorbic acid, ice, glycerine and soda.
