How to Overload Turbines in Metroid 3

Spinning turbines are one of the many obstacles that get in your way in "Metroid 3 Prime: Corruption." These turbines consist of spinning fan blades, and they're located in several places throughout the levels of the game. To shut them down, you have to overload them. Once you've overloaded them, you'll be able to pass through them to reach areas that were previously blocked by their deadly spinning blades.

Instructions

    • 1

      Play through the Turbine Chamber section of the Planet Elysium: Skytown area until you see a spinning turbine.

      Look for the nodes on either side of the turbine. They will have cords leading to their locations and will appear to be red on your scanner.

    • 3

      Press the "A" button to fire your charge beam at each node to destroy them and overload the turbine. It will stop spinning, and you will be able to go past it to continue with the level.
