How to Beat the Quest No Guts, No Glory

"No Guts, No Glory" is a quest in "Monster Hunter Tri that requires the player to obtain three Monster Guts items. These can be obtained from Delex in the Sandy Plains. The quest has a 50 minute time limit to complete it, but should take less than 10 minutes. The player can earn an additional reward for completing the subquest of "No Guts, No Glory," which requires killing eight Delex.

Instructions

  Go to the Sandy Plains.

  Open the Supply Box near the entrance. Take the two Sonic Bombs out.

  Go to area 9 or 10 of the Sandy Plains. These are the two western most sections on the map. Delex can only be found in these two areas. These are the fish like creatures swimming through the sand.

  Throw a Sonic Bomb at the Delex. It stuns them for a few seconds, causing them to flop around on the surface.

  Kill as many Delex as you can before the stun effect wears off.

  Examine the bodies of any Delex you killed to obtain Monster Guts.

  Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 with your second Sonic Bomb. You should have at least two Monster Guts, but you may have acquired all three.

  Kill Delex until you get all three Monster Guts. If you want to do the subquest, kill at least eight. It is a bit more difficult to fight Delex once you run out of Sonic Bombs. The best method is to stand in the way of one swimming and try to hit it as it moves past you. This causes it to attack you. Delex do not do much damage and pose no real threat.

  Return to the Supply Box at the entrance of the Sandy Plains. Put all of the Monster Guts into the box to complete the quest. You are rewarded 800 zenny, the game's unit of currency for completing "No Guts, No Glory." If you completed the subquest, you receive an addition 200 zenny.
