What Games Can You Play on the Wii After WiiBrew?

The WiiBrew installation guide allows Wii owners to download and install the "Homebrew Channel." With this channel, players can use an SD card to download and install third-party games for the Wii. There are dozens of games to choose from and they include classic remakes like "Doom," on-screen art programs like "Kids Paint" and puzzle games. Use the "Homebrew Browser" to download and play these games.
  1. Board Games

    • Play recreations of board games like "Wii Operation," "Wii Ship" (Battleship) and "Chess." Other board games include "Tic-Tac-Toe," "Rock-Paper-Scissors" and "YahtzWii," a Wii version of the popular dice game.

    Simulation Games

    • Play simple simulation games including some text-based games and others with graphics and interactive characters. The game "Desert Bus" puts you in the driver's seat of a bus that must be driven without stopping from Arizona to Las Vegas. In "Bowfishing Action," players recreate the world of carp fishing and use Wii Motion controls.

    • Play as Mario and other "Super Mario World" characters in "Super Mario War." The goal of the game is to jump on your opponent's head as many times as you can. In "My Little Ball," players rotate the Wii remote to keep a ball bouncing across multiple levels.

    Card Games

    • The Homebrew Browser features card games like "Uno," "Blackjack" and "Freecell." Choose from other card games like "WiiPoker," a video poker clone that features fake credits and multiple ways to play.
