World 2 - 3
Go to the end of the level where there are the steps leading up to the final flag. Watch the turtle coming down the steps. Jump on him when he gets to the fourth step from the top. If you time your jump just right, you can continually jump on the turtle. Jump on the turtle shell seven times in a row. Each consecutive jump thereafter will give you an extra life until, after a couple minutes, you max out at 99.
World 2 - 5
Find Yoshi and get to the flying Lakitu that drops Spinies on you. At the point Lakitu appears, you reach a sectioned off piece of land with two question mark boxes and blocks that prevent the Spinies from walking off the edge. Have Yoshi eat one of the Spinies and then spit out the shell to make it bounce back and forth between the two blocks. As the Lakitu drops more and more Spinies onto the sectioned off piece of land, the moving shell will take them out and give you extra lives until you have 99.
World 3 - 2
A little way past the midpoint of the level there is chasm with two cannons on both sides of it. The cannons fire Bullet Bills that move fairly slowly. Stay in the chasm and continuously jump on the Bullet Bills. To make things easier, always jump on the lowest available Bullet Bill. Each Bullet Bill you jump on after the seventh will give you an extra life. Keep jumping from bullet to bullet until you have 99 lives.
World 4 - Castle
Play with at least two players and enter the castle with ice powers. There are a bunch of climbable fences within the castle, some of which have a panel you can hit to reverse the side you are on. Get to the area that has a reversible fence with four Koopas climbing on it. Leave one Koopa alive and wait until he is climbing on the back side of the fence. If one player freezes the Koopa at the same moment the other player hits the reverse panel, an ice block will drop to the ground and coins will pour out of it. For every 100 coins you collect you get an extra life. After five to 10 minutes you should reach 99 lives.
