Training Tips for the Link Cross Bow

Link's Crossbow Training is included free with the Wii Zapper. Players assume Link's identity as he endures various tests of marksmanship. This mini-game has three styles and 27 stages. Each stage operates differently based on goals. The mission for each stage is to earn the highest score within the allotted time. Players can pass the Wii Zapper around to compete for the highest score.
  1. Bull's-Eye Practice

    • Aim and shoot at the stationary bull's-eye targets as they appear on the screen in the target-shooting rounds. The targets are stationary during the beginning stages of the game, but move as the levels increase in difficulty. Hitting the center of the bull's-eyes earns you more points. Successive hits multiplies your points.

    Defender Rounds

    • Continue to target your enemy while remaining stationary in the defender rounds. Aim in every direction, and sometimes look and aim in 360 degrees. Players might aim off-screen to turn Link in a different direction. At this stage, Link fights to survive as he is assaulted by many different groups of enemies.

    Ranger Mode

    • Use the Nunchuk's control stick to move through the levels in the ranger rounds. Aim the Wii Zapper to produce movements on the screen. At this stage, Link ventures into enemy territory to seek and battle his opponents.

Wii Zapper, Remote and Nunchuk Used Together

    • Use the Wii Zapper, along with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. The Nunchuk has a control stick that controls player movement. The trigger is used to shoot the crossbow.
