Cooking Mama: World Kitchen Hints

"Cooking Mama: World Kitchen" is a cooking simulation game for the Nintendo Wii. Players use their Wii controllers to chop, mix, and fry various ingredients to make virtual meals. As long as you can take advantage of certain aspects of the game, you can quickly become a skilled master chef.
  1. Saving Your Food

    • "World Kitchen" offers mini-games in which you can save food that would otherwise be doomed. For example, if you flip a pancake too high, Mama herself will run into the kitchen to save it. Point the Wii controller at Mama to guide her to the pancake. If the food cannot be saved, it is rendered useless. You will need to start the procedure over.

    Chopping

    • Conserve some energy by letting the game do some of the work. If you start chopping an object, it will turn itself when it needs to be turned. For example, after chopping an onion horizontally, just wait for the onion will move itself and allow you to chop it vertically.

    Practicing

    • Select the "Use Skill" option in the main menu to improve aspects of your cooking skill. This is essentially a practice mode that walks you through procedures such as chopping, grating, slicing, stirring, and rolling. If there's something you're not keeping up with in real game play, you can work on it without pressure in this mode.

    Take On Mama

    • Complete all 47 available recipes to unlock the "Take On Mama" game mode. You will cook against Mama here with four secret recipes. To beat Mama in this mode, you must not make a mistake in any of your cooking procedures. Consult the "Use Skill" mode to practice your skills before taking on Mama.
