How to Do a Laser Beam in Mario Super Sluggers

"Mario Super Sluggers" was released for Nintendo Wii in August 2008 and lets you use several players from the Mario universe to play baseball. The Wiimote controller is used heavily in this game, as it can be used as a virtual bat or to throw balls back after being caught. The "Laser Beam" ability can only be used by five characters, but if you have one of them selected then you will automatically throw a laser beam every time you throw the ball.

Instructions

  Choose a stadium from the main menu, then begin a baseball game in "Exhibition" mode.

  Choose the roster for your team. Be sure to have at least one of the following players on it: King K Rool, Wario, or the Blue, Red or Yellow Pianta.

  Wait for a ball to be hit to one of these players in the field. A star will form on the field where the ball is going to land, so direct one of those players to the star symbol. You will catch the ball automatically if you're in the star symbol. Shake the Wiimote quickly up and then down to throw the ball back into the infield. One of the five players, King K Rool, Wario, or the Blue, Red or Yellow Pianta, will automatically throw a "Laser Beam."
