How to Install Schematics on a Xeno Wii Mod Chip

The Xeno mod chip, designed for the Nintendo Wii, allows you to "unlock" your console so that you can play homebrew games or games burnt to a disc. Many models of the Xeno require a short schematics installation. The mod chip requires certain software to function properly. After updating the Xeno mod chip, you must install it in your Wii using soldering. This act typically void's the Wii's warranty and may damage the console.

  Connect a card reader to your computer using its USB cable.

  Insert your Xeno mod chip into the card reader. Wait until the icon of the mod chip displays on the computer desktop.

  Press the eject button of your CD or DVD drive. Insert the disc containing the mod chip's schematics. This disc should have been included with the Xeno mod chip. Allow the disc to boot up.

  Double-click on the icon of the disk to launch the installer. Follow the installation prompts, entering relevant data and pressing "OK."

  Open "My Computer" by double-clicking on the icon. Click on the Xeno folder you just installed. Click on the file that reads "Schematics." Drag and drop this folder onto the icon of the mod chip. The icon should be visible in the left tab of the My Computer window.
