Trouble Dumping Wii Music

Wii Hear is an online utility that allows users to stream Internet radio to their Wii consoles via the Opera-powered Internet Channel Web browser. When it's streaming to the Wii, the audio is actually partially downloading to the system for better playback. Due to the limited storage capacity of the Wii, the system memory fills up quickly while streaming music. The Wii Hear music player automatically dumps the downloaded audio file to make room for more audio, with hardly any interruption in the stream. If music dumping is not working for you, you may need to free up space on your Wii. Deleting (or "dumping") unnecessary data on the console is easy.

Instructions

    • 1

Select "Wii" in the lower left corner of the main menu.

    • 2

Select "Data Management," then "Save Data."

    • 3

Select the file you wish to erase, and then choose "Erase." Repeat for each file you wish to delete. The amount of free space on the Wii is listed as "Blocks Open." The more blocks you have open, the less trouble you will have with Wii Music.
