Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open the back clip and pull out the AA batteries from the Wii controller. If the batteries are not rechargeable, get a set of rechargeable batteries to save and money.
Charge the rechargeable batteries by putting them in the charger. Let them charge until the green light indicating a full charge comes on. Usually, the batteries take six to eight hours to get fully charged.
Place the fully charged batteries back into the Wii controller.
Power up the Wii controller and connect it to your Wii to use it.
Press and hold the "Home" button on the Wii remote until a pop-up appears on the screen.
Find the battery meter with three charging bars on the screen. If all the three bars are visible, then the battery is fully charged. Even if all three bars are not visible, the remote can be used but the batteries will drain out quickly. If you see a red sign on the screen, the battery is low and your Wii controller will soon be out of power.
