Increase your pace. The game tracks your progress and helps you to increase your performance. If you run faster in the jogging routine, then you will be encouraged to do better the next time that you run. A quick way to speed up the pace in the jogging program is to run quickly ahead of the training guide ahead of you on the course. If you keep passing him he will run faster to get ahead of you. If you keep outrunning him, the pace of the program will quickly and naturally increase.
Follow the dog. Also in the jogging program, when you pass the training guide you will notice a dog on the course. If you run and follow the dog then the dog will lead you down a different path then you would normally take. You will notice that the dog is faster than the running guide and the new path will visually add a new aspect to the program.
Swing your arms. If you pump your arms faster when running your pace in the game will automatically increase. As an added bonus this trick also helps to burn fat at a faster rate.
Rock the controller. Most Wii Fit users keep the controller in their pocket while they run. If you hold it in your hand while you're swinging your arms then your pace will pick up dramatically.
Clean the board. Footprints and smudges on the balance board can affect your pace in the game and the overall performance of the program. You can use window cleaner and a paper towel to wipe down the board.
