How to Use a PK Flash Effectively in Super Smash Brothers

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, for the Nintendo Wii, PK flash is one of Ness's most powerful abilities, as it is capable of achieving a one-hit KO if you can hit your enemy with it. Moreover, the attack can be steered on the horizontal axis. However, PK flash's usefulness is limited by two major constraints: first, the attack has a long charge-up time, second, your enemies will find the attack easy to see and dodge. Due to these constraints, PK flash is best used against stunned opponents, opponents above you, and opponents who have been knocked off the map and are attempting to return.

Instructions

Charged PK Flashes

  Knock your opponent off the edge of the map or stun your opponent with a Deku Nut, Belossum or by breaking your opponent's shield.

  Press and hold "B" to charge PK flash, giving the attack its maximum damage potential, and release "B" to launch the attack, which will rise into the air before descending.

  Guide the PK flash toward your target as it descends with your horizontal movement control.
Uncharged PK Flashes

  Wait for your opponent to be situated above you.
- 5
  Press B to release an uncharged PK flash, which bypasses the charge-up time of a fully-charged PK flash but inflicts substantially less damage.

  Guide the PK flash toward your target as it ascends with your horizontal movement control.
