How to Change Your BMI on Wii Fit

BMI stands for body mass index. The "Wii Fit" determines your BMI by considering your weight in relation to your height. Your BMI increases with your weight. Unfortunately, "Wii Fit" does not take into account your muscle mass, so if you are muscular, your BMI will not be accurate. Your "Wii Fit" BMI is placed in one of four categories: underweight, normal, overweight and obese. To lower your BMI, you'll need to use the "Wii Fit" regularly.

Instructions

    • 1

Start "Wii Fit" and choose your Mii.

    • 2

Navigate to the "Training" screen. Click on any of the training categories, such as "Aerobics," "Strength," "Yoga" or "Balance." Aerobic training is the most efficient training for reducing your BMI, because the exercises are typically intense, so you're more apt to drop body fat.

    • 3

Train every day for one week. After one week, start the "Body Test."

    • 4

Complete the first part of the body test, which instructs you to stand on the "Wii Fit" balance board and center your balance. After your balance is measured, the Wii fit will measure your BMI. After you complete the rest of the body test, a graph will appear and show you your BMI change. Continue exercising to decrease your BMI.
