How to Edit Wii WAD Files

WAD files are the Wii system's executable file, similar to an EXE file. Wii WAD files contain information for Wii games, the system menu and channels. With WAD Studio, you can edit your WAD file to change the images associated with the WAD file. WAD Studio is the only program that can open and edit a WAD file.

Instructions

      Download and install WAD Studio. (See Resources.)

      Click on the "WAD Studio" icon to open it.

      Select your WAD file, and click "Open."

      Edit your WAD file. Click on "Images" this will show your current images. Change the image using your preferred image editor program.

      Click on "Pack" when you are done modifying the images, and the WAD file will be packed and modified.
