How Do I Redeem Microsoft Points?

If you have an Xbox 360 and have ever used it to browse the online content available for the device, you have probably noticed Microsoft uses their own form of currency for transactions. This currency is called "Microsoft Points," and can be purchased directly through your Xbox, or as cards with a stored value that can be purchased in retail stores. If you have purchased one of these cards, you can redeem them and add the points to your Xbox Live account online.

     Open a Web browser window and navigate to the prepaid code redemption page at Xbox.com.

     Type the Windows Live ID associated with your Xbox Live account into the "Windows Live ID" field.

     Type your password into the "Password" field, and then click "Sign In."

     Type the 25-digit code from the back of your Microsoft Points card into the field at the center of the window.

     Click the green "Redeem Code" button to add the points to your Xbox Live account.
