"Castle Crashers" is a side-scrolling action game. At first, the player has only four characters to choose from, but he can unlock more than a dozen other characters by accomplishing special feats. The Alien Hominid is one of these special characters, but instead of getting him through an in-game achievement, the player gets him by playing another video game -- "Alien Hominid HD." So long as the player unlocks at least one achievement in "Alien Hominid HD," he'll be able to play as the extraterrestrial in "Castle Crashers." This process is available only in the Xbox 360 version.

Go to your Xbox main menu, and open the Marketplace.

Click search, and type in "Alien Hominid HD."

Download the game. Once it's done downloading, it will automatically install.

Play "Alien Hominid." You must get at least one achievement to unlock the hominid in "Castle Crashers." The easiest achievement is Alien in Training, which you receive for beating the first level.

Exit "Alien Hominid" and start "Castle Crashers." Select the Alien Hominid from the character selection screen.
