How to Unlock Expansion Content on Castle Crashers

"Castle Crashers" is a multiplayer beat-'em-up game that was originally released for the Xbox Live service, and later released on the PSN (PlayStation Network.) In the game, you and up to three of your friends play as four knights that can wield an assortment of weapons, items and animals against a massive army of enemies. As you progress, you can unlock other playable characters and weapons as well as animal orbs that will follow and protect you in various ways. Expansion content is unlocked by purchasing one of the two current expansion packs for "Castle Crashers" --- the "Necromantic Pack" and the "King Pack." Each expansion introduces a new character, new animal orb and an assortment of new weapons. There is also a "Pink Knight Pack" that has yet to be released as of August 2011, the proceeds of which will go toward fighting breast cancer.

     Turn on your Xbox 360. Connect to the Xbox Live account that you used to purchase "Castle Crashers" on your system.

     Go to the "Games Marketplace" section of Xbox Live once you are logged in. Go to "Arcade Games." Find "Castle Crashers."

     Select "Castle Crashers." This will open a menu. Slect "Game Add-Ons."

     Choose the expansion pack that you would like to purchase and select it with your controller. Confirm your download. For each expansion pack that you download, 160 Microsoft Points --- the equivalent of $2 --- will be taken from your Live account.

     Wait for the pack(s) to fully download. The data in the pack will automatically be applied to your existing "Castle Crashers" game and will be included in the game when you start "Castle Crashers" again.
