Instructions
Turn on your Xbox 360, and sign in to your game profile.
Stand in front of the Kinect sensor, and wave your hand with a back and forth motion to open the Kinect Hub.
Move one hand around to control the hand icon on the screen, and hold it over the "Kinect ID" square. A white circle will draw around the hand icon and, when the circle is complete, open the "Kinect ID" screen.
Move the hand icon over the "Next" box, and hold it there until the circle is completed and the "Sign In Using Face Recognition" screen appears.
Select the "Next" box, and the "Welcome to Kinect ID Setup" screen appears. On the bottom of the screen is your game profile and an option to choose another game profile.
Hold the hand icon over your game profile until the screen changes and a welcome message appears. Your character stands in the middle of the screen. A green square appears on the screen along with instructions to step onto the square.
Step in the direction of the square until your on-screen character is standing on the green square. An outline of your character appears to the left and makes a pose with its arms. The message "Match the Pose to Begin" appears on screen.
Move your arms so your on-screen character matches the stance of the outline of your on screen character. The message "Great! Here We Go" appears on the screen, along with a 15-square grid. Each of the squares will turn green one at a time.
Step onto the green square and perform the pose as shown by the outline of your character. The Kinect requires you to step on several squares and perform a variety of poses. Continue until the "Setup is Complete! Let's Try It Out" screen appears.
Wave at the television screen each time the hand icon appears at the lower right corner of the screen to test your Kinect ID. A box with "Identifying" appears on screen until "You Can Start Using Kinect ID Now" appears.
Select the "Exit" box to finish the setup.
