How to Hook Up a 360 to a PC

Your Xbox 360 gaming system has the built-in ability to connect to the Internet through your home network. And with the use of Windows Media Player 11, you can also connect the Xbox 360 to your PC through this same network. This connection can be done wirelessly and with an Internet connection, allowing you to access and stream media content (music and movies) from your PC and through your Xbox and onto your television screen. The process of connecting your Xbox 360 to a PC is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug an Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" port on the back of your Xbox 360. Plug the other end of the cable into the "Ethernet" port on the back of your home network modem.

    • 2

Download and install Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Media Player 11 to your PC.

    • 3

Press the "Power" button on your Xbox 360 console to turn it on.
