How to Get a Stuck Game Out of an Xbox

If you get a game disc stuck in your Xbox 360, you don't want to try and force it out of the optical drive. You risk damaging the drive or the system if you attempt to yank the disc out of the console. The Xbox 360 comes with a manual eject button that pops the disc out of the DVD drive without needing the system to be plugged into power or even be functional.

Instructions

      Straighten out the paper clip.

      Unplug the Xbox 360 power adapter. Disconnect the power adapter from the console.

      Lay the Xbox 360 on its side, if it is currently in the vertical position. Turn the console so the air vents are facing you.

      Slide the straightened paper clip into the manual eject hole located directly above the yellow sticker on the vents.

    • 5

      Pull the disc tray open once it releases and remove your game.
