How to Get a Hippo in 'Viva Pinata: Party Animals

Developed by Rare and released in 2006, "Viva Pinata" is a sandbox life-simulation game that gained a strong cult following but suffered from weak sales. Its colorful and vivid visuals make the game inviting to children, but the depth of game play and interaction can keep the attention of casual players as well. With 60 different kinds of pinatas to find and care for, "Viva Pinata" will keep anyone busy. Each pinata has specific requirements that need to be met in order to add them to your garden. The hippo pinata, Chippopatamus, is one with less straightforward requirements.

Instructions

  Make the Chippopatamus appear by having 400 square pinometers of water (or 40%) in your garden.

  Add 100 more square pinometers of water to your garden and 14 water lilies, bullrush or watercress plants for the Chippopatamus to visit.

  Let the Chippopatamus eat 10 water lily flowers, 10 watercress flowers and 10 bullrush heads for it to become a resident.

  Add 200 more pinometers of water to your garden, get the Candary Master Breeder award, have at least one Candary in your garden as well as a Chippopatamus house and have the Chippopatamus eat at least four bird of paradise flowers in order to romance it.
