How to Get to the Upgrade Machine in Zombies Ascension

Ascension is the first downloadable map for Zombie Mode released for the "Call of Duty: Black Ops" video game. It is part of the First Strike map pack, which also includes four online multiplayer maps. In Ascension, the Pack-a-Punch machine upgrades weapons. It can be found only after the three lunar landers have been ridden and the rocket activated. The lunar landers are in three separate spots on the map.

Instructions

- 1
  Load Ascension in "Call of Duty: Black Ops," and begin playing the game as usual. Open doors and purchase the necessary weapons to survive, until you get to the power room.

  Flip the switch on the wall to turn on the power, and then continue playing normally until you find the first lunar lander. This is located on the way to the power switch, so you should know where it is already.

  Get on the lunar lander. It will bring you back to the spawn point on the map.

  Go back to the power room, open the next door, go down the stairs into the adjacent building, and open the next door at the top of the stairs. Get on the second lunar lander. You will be returned to the spawn point.

  Go through the door at the top of the stairs in the spawn room, and turn to the left. Follow the passageway to get to the last lunar lander. Get on it, to return to the spawn point.

  Return to the power room and walk up to the launch controls. You will be prompted to launch the rocket. After doing so, walk down the stairs toward the far end of the map.

  A new area opens up. The Pack-a-Punch machine is located in the far end of the room. Walk up to it, and place your gun inside the machine to upgrade it.
