How to Fertilize Trees in Viva Pinata

Flowers, bushes and trees turn your "Viva Pinata" garden into a lush paradise and help to meet the visitor, resident and romance requirements of the pinatas. If you put a seed into the ground and water it, it will grow into a plant, but you'll yield more flowers and fruit if you fertilize your plants. Trees are a little harder to grow than flowers. They grow slowly, and you have to accurately time the three doses of fertilizer they will need.

     Dig a hole with your shovel and plant the tree seed.

     Give the sapling one dose of fertilizer of the appropriate color.

     Water the sapling when its water meter runs low, but avoid overwatering it.

     Watch the sapling as it grows. Give it a second dose of fertilizer when a group of leaves falls from the branches of the tree.

     Give the tree its third and final dose of fertilizer when a second group of leaves falls from the branches.
