How to Unlock Bungie Armor

Although most Halo armor upgrades become available to gamers once they have completed specific achievements or improved their gamerscores, the Eternal "blue flame" helmet remained an armor effect exclusive to Bungie employees for a number of years. The release of the Bungie Mobile application, as part of this year's "Bungie Day," made the Eternal armor effect available as a free download to all Halo: Reach gamers.

  Go to the App Store on your iOS device.

  Search for "Bungie Mobile" and download the Bungie Mobile app.

  Open the Bungie Mobile app and enter your Windows Live ID.

  Select the "Love Bungie" tab at the bottom of the screen. Click "Blue Flames" and turn the switch to the "On" position. Click "All-Star Nameplate" and turn the switch to the "On" position.

  Go to Bungie.net and enter your Windows Live ID.

  Click "Game Settings" and select "Nameplates." Scroll to "All-Star Nameplate" and click "Use Nameplate."

  Insert the "Halo: Reach" disk into the Xbox 360. Press the "Start" button in the main menu lobby and select "Armor." Scroll to "Armor Effects" and select "Eternal."
