How to Get Past the Twilight Castle Rotating Bridge Room in Darksiders for PS3

An action adventure brawler from Vigil Games, "Darksiders" allows you to take control of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in an effort to undo events that led to the end of the world. As the horseman War, you must travel through the crumbled remains of civilization as you attempt to regain War's powers so he can confront the Destroyer. In the game's second level, you must solve a puzzle involving a rotating bridge in the Twilight Cathedral. You must unlock the bridge's gears and pull several switches in the correct order to solve the puzzle.

Instructions

- 1
  Jump down to the gears floating in the lava located in the south side of the chamber containing the bridge.

  Pick up the Inert Growth Bomb, and carry the bomb back across the gears towards the north wall. You can only perform a single jump when carrying the bomb, so use caution when jumping from gear to gear.

  Attach the bomb to the red crystal covering the gears located on the wall.

  Target the torch on the wall next to the crystal with your Crossblade by clicking on the "Right Thumb Stick" and then passing the cursor over the torch and then the bomb. The Crossblade will strike the torch and carry the flame to the bomb, igniting it and freeing the gears to move.

  Climb up the wall, head back to the chamber's entrance and activate the switch next to the bridge.

  Grab an inert bomb from the nearby platform, and quickly hop onto the bridge as it begins to rotate.

  Hop off the bridge after it has rotated you to the other side of the chamber, and head toward the Inert Bomb Growth station nearby.

  Pick up and throw the inert bombs at the wall to form a bridge between the red crystal that is blocking your path and the Active Bomb Growth hanging on the wall.

  Target and throw your Crossblade at the active bomb to begin a chain reaction of explosions that will destroy the red crystal.

  Run down the cleared path, and pull the lever to raise the first statue from the lava below.

  Pick up an inert bomb, and throw it at the crystal growth located on the platform directly to the north of where you are standing.

  Stand in the middle of the bridge, and target the torch located next to the crystal with your Crossblade and then the bomb.

  Throw your Crossblade to destroy the crystal, and then rotate the bridge in that direction by pulling the lever located at the end of the platform.

  Pull the switch to raise the second statue from the lava, and then rotate the bridge again until you can reach the western platform.

  Target the blue orbs on each statue with your Crossblade while standing on the platform, and then throw the weapon. Destroying the blue orbs will cause the lava flow to stop, allowing you to reach the room containing the final crystal blade needed to unlock the courtyard puzzle.

  Return to the courtyard, and insert the sword to continue with the game.
