How to Get Past the First Room in the Saw Video Game

The introductory puzzle in "Saw" begins without much warning. In the first room, your character awakens to discover that the evil Jigsaw has placed a deadly trap on his head. You must help your character free himself quickly. If you fail, the game is over before it has even started. Escaping the trap is a matter of reacting to the on-screen instructions. Once your character is free, you must figure out the combination to the locked door to exit the room.

Instructions

- 1
  Rotate the left analog stick in accordance with the direction shown on the screen. Watch the trap for a flash of color, then press the corresponding button on your controller. Repeat the actions on the opposite side when the camera changes angles.

  Move the left analog stick up and down when the prompt appears on the screen. You will remove the trap and be free to explore the room.

  Close all three doors on the bathroom stalls. Turn around and look at the doors through the mirror on the opposite wall. You will see the number sequence "437" written on the doors.

  Go over to the exit door. Enter the combination "437" to unlock it and escape the room.
