How to Counter an Opponent's UAV in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

One of the killstreak rewards in the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" multiplayer mode is the UAV or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. When enabled, the UAV is unlocked as soon as you reach a three-kill streak. For the next 30 seconds, the enemy soldiers show up as red dots in your mini-map. However, the UAV can be disabled by enemy players, if they have the Counter-UAV as their three-kill streak reward.

Instructions

  Start the game on your console and select the "Multiplayer" mode from the main menu.

  Select "Killstreak Rewards" and choose "Counter-UAV" as one of your rewards.

  Join a match and begin playing as usual. When you reach a three-kill streak, a message will pop up saying "Counter-UAV ready for launch." You are now ready to counter the UAV killstreak reward.

  Press right on the D-pad, to use your Counter-UAV. For the next 30 seconds, every enemy player -- including those with UAVs -- will be unable to see anything on their mini-map.
