How to Connect More Than Two Instruments in Rock Band

To form the quintessential rock band, you must have more than one instrument. A rock band requires at least a drummer, a singer and a keyboardist or guitarist. In the "Rock Band" video game, you can connect two or more instruments and a microphone so more than one player can enjoy the game. Each "Rock Band" instrument or mic comes complete with a dongle to connect it to your console. When connecting more than one device, you must chain the dongles together.

  Insert the USB plug on dongle that came with your instrument in the console's USB port.

  Insert the dongle that came with your additional instrument into the open USB port on the first connected dongle.

  Connect the third instrument dongle to the second's USB port or insert it into an empty USB port on the console.

  Power on all the instruments.

  Press the "Sync" button on each instrument.

  Hit the "Sync" button on the console if you're playing on the Xbox 360. Press the "Sync" button on each dongle, if you're playing on the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation consoles. The lights on the instruments, dongles or console will blink while they search for a signal. When the signal is found, the light will become solid on each instrument, dongles or the console to show the instruments are connected.
