How to Do a Barrel Roll in Red Dead Redemption

The western-shooter video game "Red Dead Redemption" pits players against some of the roughest, toughest bandits and thieves in the Wild West. The barrel roll is a defensive maneuver that makes you harder to shoot by keeping you low to the ground and moving quickly out of the way of bullets. You can also use the barrel-roll maneuver as an offensive tactic to get you closer to your enemy without taking fire, allowing you to follow up with an attack at close range.

     Press and hold the "Left Trigger" button on your controller to aim with your weapon.

     Press the "X" button while holding the "Left Trigger" to barrel roll.

     Move the directional stick to control which direction you barrel roll towards. Press the directional stick in the same direction you want to roll at the same time you press the "X" button.
