How to Go Over the Budget in Forge on Halo 3

Forge is a powerful editing tool first included in the 2007 video game "Halo 3." Forge gives you the power to create and edit your own multiplayer maps, special game types and pretty much anything else you can imagine. Every Forge map starts with an initial budget of $5,000. This budget was included to prevent players from accidentally creating maps that the Xbox 360 console could not handle, causing frame lag and sluggish gameplay. You can skirt the balance in Forge, but it is best to only do so if you are not designing a serious map.

Instructions

    • 1

Make a list of each of the items you will need for your build.

    • 2

Purchase one of the items you need for your map, then set it anywhere. You do not have to worry about placement until all the pieces are on the map.

    • 3

Press "X" while hovering over the item and set the "Run-Time Maximum" to one number higher than the total number of that object on the map. For example, place a simple block, press "X," and set the value to "2."

    • 4

Continue adding building blocks, changing the Run-Time Maximum value with each one. As long as you change this value, you can add as many objects as you want without worrying about the budget.
