How to Mod Your GT With Modio

Your Xbox Live gamertag is your online gaming ID. Your gaming information is automatically taken from your system and kept in an online profile, and you are not given an option on what to share in this profile. While none of this information is considered sensitive, you may feel the need to keep it from others. You can mod your gamertag by altering the files on your computer using a program called Modio. This gives you the freedom of playing your games anonymously so other people can't see what you are up to.

Instructions

  Insert the USB drive into your game system. Turn the system on and let it load. Press the "Menu" button and select "System Settings" from the menu. Go to "Memory" then "Hard Drive" and select the "Gamer Tag" game file. Select "Move" then select to move the file to the USB drive. When the file transfer finishes, remove the memory card from the system.

  Unplug the USB drive from the game system and plug it into a computer. Open "XTAF Xplorer" and select the USB drive from the menu. Click the "Content" folder and extract the "Game" file to the desktop.

  Open the Modio program. Click "Load Drive" and click "Partition 0." Click "Content" then select your gamertag profile. Open the "Profile Storage" folder then open the "Profiles" folder. Drag the profile to your desktop and minimize "Modio."

  Open "EzGT" and locate your gamertag and delete it. Click "Advanced," then "Add Hex." Each time this button is clicked, one of the boxes under the box that displayed your gamertag changes from "20" to "0D." Click this button until all the boxes change to "0." Click "Options" and change "Modded Profile" to "1."

  Save the gamertag, expand Modio and open the folder you just created with EzGT. Open the next two folders and drag your modded profile into Modio. Click "Rehash and Resign," click "Content" and drag the file into the Modio's "Content" folder.

  Remove the USB device from the computer and plug it into the game system. Turn the system on and go to "Settings," select "Memory" and choose the USB device. Move both your original gamertag and your modded gamertag back to your game system's hard drive.
