How to Set Up a Kinect on Netflix

Kinect is a device that senses voice and motion commands. Made by Microsoft for use with the Xbox 360 gaming console, Kinect, in addition to being used for video games, can also be used in conjunction with the Netflix streaming entertainment service. Use your Kinect with Netflix so that you can search for and interact with movies by moving your body and by talking to the device. If you have Netflix and a Kinect device, your Xbox 360 will automatically update to recognize motion and voice commands on Netflix.

     Place the Kinect device either in front of or on top of your television.

     Plug the Kinect device's single cable into the appropriate port on the back of your Xbox 360. Except for the original model, all Xbox 360s have a specially marked port for the Kinect.

     Turn on your Xbox 360.

     Launch Netflix from the home screen.

   • 5

     Update your Kinect and Netflix software when automatically prompted.

     Restart your console.
