How to Solve Gargoyle's Trove in Fable II

"Fable II" is an action-adventure role-playing game (RPG) by Lionhead Studios. The game was released in 2008 and is exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform. Gameplay takes place in a large, extensively detailed world called Albion. The player encounters a total of 50 Gargoyles throughout Albion -- talking stone statues that mock the player's character as he approaches. All 50 Gargoyles must be found and destroyed in order to solve the Gargoyle's Trove puzzle in Bowerstone.

  Gain as many experience points (XP) as you can by killing enemies and completing any tasks the game prompts you to pursue. You need 3,000 XP to unlock the Aimed Range Attack, which you will need to kill Gargoyles. Enemies drop Experience Orbs of different colors when defeated. Focus on collecting Green and Yellow Experience Orbs.

  Find and destroy a Gargoyle. They are located throughout Albion, usually affixed to the eves of buildings or other structures. For example, there are two in the Bandit Coast area. The gargoyle will loudly insult your character as you approach, making them fairly easy to locate. Hold the "Y" button to initiate the Aimed Range Attack. Target and destroy the Gargoyle. You will automatically be given a map to Gargoyle's Trove when you destroy your first Gargoyle.

  Continue finding and destroying Gargoyles. They are found throughout Albion, but there are large concentrations of them in Bowerstone, Brightwood, Rookridge and Westcliff. One of the five portcullises in Gargoyle's Trove will open for every 10 gargoyles you destroy. There is no need to go to the trove until all 50 are destroyed.

  Go to Gargoyle's Trove when all 50 Gargoyles are dead. It is accessed from Bowerstone Market. Dive off the bridge and swim underneath. You will see a green access beacon. Swim to the beacon and dive underwater. Your character will be in Gargoyle's Trove after a brief cut scene. Open each of the five portcullises and collect the treasure behind them. A blue pressure pad will be behind each treasure. Step on these after collecting each treasure. The pressure pads release sections of a bridge that must be crossed to reach the final treasure.

  Cross the bridge created by stepping on the pressure pads. Open the final portcullis and go inside. There is a treasure chest containing a rotten apple. The real treasure is found behind the cracked section of wall directly behind the chest. Break through this wall by striking it with your sword and follow the path behind it. The path leads to a chest containing The Rammer, one of the game's Legendary Weapons.
