Preparations
You should complete the entire game and reach level 50 before focusing on getting your epic armor. "Too Human" has a level select feature that allows you to replay levels after you have beaten them once. This is important since one of the two best locations to get epic armor is the final level, so you want access to it. You can get epic armor before reaching level 50, but the attributes on it scale to your level, so you must be level 50 to get the best version of this armor to drop. Purchase orange quality armor before starting. Put three loot drop runes into the slots on this armor. These runes give a 15 percent chance for each enemy to drop twice as many items. This significantly increases your chances of getting epic armor.
Game Type
More enemies spawn during multiplayer games than in single player. This gives more opportunities to find epic armor each time you run a particular level. You do not need to actually have a second player playing for this to occur. You just need to be using the multiplayer mode. Ideally, having a second player allows you to kill more enemies faster, increasing the rate you can find epic armor. If you do not have a friend to assist you, just enter multiplayer mode to gain the benefit of having more enemies on each level.
World Serpent
One of the two best places to find epic armor is the level "World Serpent 3-4." You do not run this entire level when looking for item drops. Close to the starting point is a conveyor belt with a large horde of elite goblins. Kill off all of the goblins and collect the items they drop. Immediately quit the level at this point. You still keep all of the items you found, even though you did not complete the level. Due to the high concentration of elite goblins, there is a significantly higher chance that at least one drops a piece of epic armor, despite the odds of each individual elite goblin dropping it being slightly less than that of some other enemies.
Hall of Heroes
The other place to look for epic armor is the level "Hall of Heroes 1-1." Unlike in World Serpent, you run the entire level, including the boss fight against Grendel. Do not stray off the main path when using this method. Run straight through the level until you get to Grendel. There is a chance the normal enemies you encounter will drop a piece of epic armor. In addition, Grendel has a higher than average chance of dropping a piece of epic armor due to how the token system works. You get a token each time you pass a checkpoint in a level. These tokens increase the chance the boss drops an epic quality item. The reason you run the entire level is to get all of the tokens before you fight Grendel.
