How to Add Your Xbox Live Gamer Tag to Facebook

Facebook gradually expanded to the major gaming consoles, allowing Xbox 360 owners to update their status, view photos and chat by using the system's downloadable Facebook application. When attempting to customize Facebook through the website, you might run into trouble attempting to link your gamertag to your profile. Instead of going through Facebook's "Edit Profile" tools, you must add your gamertag using your Xbox 360. This occurs when completing Xbox 360's initial setup with Facebook.

  Turn on your Xbox 360 and access the console's dashboard.

  Log in to the gamertag that you want to associate with Facebook.

  Go to the "My Community" section of the dashboard.

  Select "Facebook" and choose "Confirm Download." The Facebook program downloads to your Xbox 360.

  Choose "Play Now" after the download finishes.

  Select "Log in to my Facebook account" and enter your email address and password. Select "Login."

  Place a check next to "Display my LIVE info." This options posts your gamertag to your profile. Choose "Continue" to finish.
