How to Hardwire an Xbox Controller

The Xbox 360 broke new ground at its introduction with the use of wireless controllers. Although there is little debate about the convenience offered by wireless, the specter of continuously replacing batteries looms over the concept. Microsoft addresses this with the Play and Charge Kit, which directly wires the controller to the console via USB. Using this kit allows the battery pack to charge while never losing controller connection from a failed cell.
