How to Exit the Game on Kinect Adventures

"Kinect Adventures" is a free game included with every Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360. With "Kinect Adventures," the standard Xbox 360 controller is not used during the game at all. Instead, you must use your whole body to play the game as the Kinect sensor translates your body movements to your on-screen avatar. While the button presses of the Xbox 360 controller are replicated as movements, the controller is still needed for basic functions such as quitting the game and returning to the Xbox 360 menu.

     Press and hold the silver "Guide" button on the front of your Xbox 360 controller to turn it on.

     Press the "Guide" button once to bring up the Xbox 360 in-game menu.

     Press "Y" on the controller to exit the game and return to the Xbox 360's main menu.
