How to Get the Cape in Assassin's Creed II

In "Assassin's Creed II," you can use a cape to conceal your identity and keep you from getting into trouble when you commit crimes. The main character Ezio receives his first cape at the very start of the game and additional capes while playing through the game's storyline. The Auditore Cape, however, can only be obtained through special means. When you wear the Auditore Cape, your notoriety increases to the maximum level, but taking off the cape reverts your notoriety to normal. Therefore you can do what you please while wearing the Auditore Cape and never suffer the consequences so long as you remove the cape when you are finished.

Instructions

    • 1

Collect all 100 hidden feathers found throughout the game. The majority of feathers are found on top of buildings and ledges at great heights. Activate Eagle Vision to give the feathers a distinctive glow, which makes it easier to find them.

    • 2

Open the DNA menu to find out which feathers you are missing in any given area. Do not move on to the next area until you have found each of the feathers in your current location. There are 27 feathers in Florence, four in Monteriggioni, 11 in Tuscany, 12 in Romanga and 46 in Venice.

    • 3

Return to Monteriggioni using the fast travel option once you have collected all 100 feathers. Walk to the north portion of the city and enter the villa.

    • 4

Walk to your right to enter your mother Maria's room. Interact with the chest next to Maria to place the feathers inside. Walk to Maria and interact with her to receive the Auditore Cape.
