How Do I Get the Hootyfruity to Appear on Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise?

The Hootyfruity can be a welcome addition to a bird lover's garden in "Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise." This wise old owl comes out to hunt for its meals at night. Its favorite snacks are Pinatas smaller than itself, such as Sherbats and Mousemallows. If your gardener level is 11 or higher, the Hootyfruity will appear outside of your garden whenever you erect a house for its favored prey. Once the Hootyfruity eats enough Sherbats and Mousemallows, it will move into your garden.

Instructions

    • 1

Buy a turnip seed from the seed store for two coins. Plant the seed and wait for a mature turnip to emerge.

    • 2

Wait for a Mousemallow to eat the turnip. The Mousemallow will move into your garden.

    • 3

Look around your garden at night. A Sour Sherbat will visit you from time to time. The Sour Sherbat is a pest that drains the energy of your other Pinatas. You must tame it to turn it into a regular Sherbat.

    • 4

Buy a garlic seed for 22 coins. When the garlic bulb matures, the Sour Sherbat will eat it. It will be tamed and transform into a regular Sherbat.

    • 5

Go to Willy Builder's shop and buy a Sherbat house for 550 coins and a Mousemallow house for 165 coins. Hootyfruity will appear outside of your garden after these houses are built.

    • 6

Attract four more Mousemallows and four more Sherbats to your garden for a total of five each. Hootyfruity will become a resident after it eats two of the Sherbats and all five Mousemallows.
