How to Make the Target Red in a Duel on Red Dead Revolver for the Xbox

"Red Dead Revolver" is a Western-inspired third-person shooter/adventure game available for the Xbox and PS2 video game systems. In the game, players must learn the art of dueling in order to uphold their character's honor as well as to advance through the various bosses. Ensuring that the target reticule remains still and changes to the color red is an important aspect in the duel. For those unfamiliar with the technique, it can take a few tries to get the hang of things. Once learned, however, you can quickly dispose of your enemies.

Instructions

  Push down on the right analog stick on the Xbox controller at the beginning of the duel to draw your hand next to the gun.

  Press and hold the left trigger on the controller as soon as you see the the words "Draw" appear on the screen. Your character will draw his gun and an aiming reticule will appear on the screen.

  Guide the aiming reticule with the left analog stick as quickly as you can onto the opposing players body. Once you have gotten the reticule in place, hold it still.

  Press the right trigger on the Xbox controller as soon as the aiming reticule turns white. As soon as you do, the reticule will turn red. Continue pulling the right trigger on the controller while the reticule is red to fire off your shots.
