How to Avoid the Mini Heli in Overtime Mode in Dead Rising

"Dead Rising" is a multiple award-winning, zombie-apocalypse game, released exclusively for the Xbox 360 in 2006. In the game, you are the reporter, Frank West, who is trying to uncover the hidden plot behind a sudden zombie-outbreak in the fictional city of Willamette. The setting is the vast Willamette Parkview Mall and you are surrounded by psychopaths, terrorists and literally thousands of the risen dead. You begin the game in the "72 Hour Mode" in which you have three days to solve the mystery of the zombie outbreak. After that, you begin "Overtime Mode." In this part of the game, you not only deal with the undead but also with evil special forces agents. Mini-helicopter drones are part of the special forces agents' arsenal.

Instructions

  Proceed slowly and listen for the mini-helicopters as you go. These little flying weapons travel about the Willamette Parkview Mall, looking for threats and it is all too easy to run into them while carrying out your tasks. You will likely hear the sound of their propellers before you even see them.

  Run into stores and hide. If you hear one of them flying down the hall, you most likely still have ample time to hide before they spot you. Simply duck into any of the many shops just off the main walkway and either hide behind tall shelves or make your way to the back of the store. The mini-helicopters won't spring into action if you are out of their line of sight.

  Don't get too close to a mini-helicopter drone, unless you intend to destroy it. Being in close proximity to a mini-helicopter will cause it to sound a piercing alarm that will draw the dangerous special forces agents to your location, it will also begin shooting at you. If this happens, you have two options: Run away or destroy it. Fortunately, the mini-helicopter drones are relatively simple to destroy, especially if you've acquired a gun from either the mall gun shop or from killing one of the special forces agents.
